The Fish Finder pays tribute to Ocean City, MD legend Captain Mark Sampson, known as “The Shark Whisperer.” A full-time sharker since 1975, Sampson has tagged thousands of sharks, participated in NOAA scientific tagging, guided anglers to IGFA world records, and authored "Modern Sharking" to promote sustainable shark fishing. His legendary 40’ boat, Fish Finder, has hosted countless shark encounters, including close‑up great white sightings in local waters .
